Meet Sherbet the Numbat, a beautifully detailed and lifelike plush toy that brings one of Australia's most unique and lesser-known creatures to life! A little different from most marsupials, the Numbat (known as Noombat in Noongar language and Walpurti in Pitjantjatjara language) doesn’t carry its babies in a pouch! Fun Numbat Fact:
Numbats are termite-chomping superheroes! These adorable little marsupials do NOT have a pouch, but the babies are kept safe in small skinfolds under the mum's 4 nipples. Their sticky tongues that help them snack on up to 20,000 termites a day! They’re also known for their beautiful stripe patterns (some people call them 'banded anteaters!), and you can find them scurrying through Western Australia’s eucalypt forests.
